My collection of guitar effect pedals

Effects pedals. Can't live with 'em, can't live without them. Here are the ones I reluctantly tolerate in my life because they are excellent or are shit but were free and or nicked.

Is a wireless radio an effect pedal? We'll it's a black plastic box between you and your amp so it is in my book. Essential on big stages, makes you look at cock at smaller gigs, prevents electrocution. Worth it in my book just for the last one.

Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner. If you only get one pedal, get a tuner. If you are out of tune you are shit, that is what shit is. Tone is irrelevant when the guitar is out of tune.

Jim Dunlop Crybaby GCB-95 wah wah pedal with gaffa tape inverted cross for extra doom.

Guyatone HR2 Hard Rocker. Sounds fucking shit but if you like shit it sounds fucking brilliant and I like shit. Sounds best in when 'healed' by EQ.

Guyatone TO-2 Tube Overdrive. This is the proper version of the HR-2. It can sound shit and conventional excellent. It's great to use on it's own for a classic sound or alongside amp distortion for a totally intense sound.

Ibanez Turbo Tube Screamer. This just makes everything sound better. As well as boosting the gain it thickens the tone giving you a lot more bass end and feedback sustain control. I use it on everything.

Boss Parametric Equalizer. When using more than one distortion you will inevitably compromise on the tone, one of these will cut or boost whatever the problem was. Good as a solo boost and general home recording utility.

Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor. Shut Up. Cuts you out when you are not playing, erradicating out of control feedback hiss and general accidental boingy noises. Useful in small gigs, essential on big ones where the volume is huge as opposed to loud.

Some shite delay pedal, does the job, sounds ok, it's crap actually.

This is amazing. It became the best bit of kit I ever got after about ten seconds playing through it. It's great to record with as well as live. Pure valve filth.

And tonight Matthew I'm going to be Dopethrone. The only distortion pedal that makes your heavy sound weaker than your clean sound. It has a totally intense sound that is pretty unusable for all normal music. Which is why it is ace. In general though, I think all Boss distortions and overdrives are fucking shit and for poofs. However this is the best Boss distortion I've ever used, just because of it's uncompromising frying chip fat tone.

This is exactly like the Hyper Fuzz except that it sounds good as opposed to shit. Less radge on the gain and it doesn't fuck up the tone.
